Hello! I’m Coco! I am 30 and a stroke survivor. Last August, after a fabulous vacation, I got into a car accident. It was rather benign at the time (or so I thought), but after a week of the most awful headaches an unbelievable thing happened: I was diagnosed with a stroke. It was the most surreal experience of my life. The hospital experience was unreal, but the time healing at home was the best experience of my life. I started off B.S. (before stroke) as a small girl in a big world, unsure of myself and where I fit in. A.S. Has been the most liberating experience of my life. In the course of 2.5 months I have evolved into a strong, confident and (more) secure person. The stroke has pushed me in ways nothing else could.

This blog is about the trials and tribulations of a young women just making life happen after having her world turned upside down by a medical condition. There is a quote that has stuck with me through all of this “we either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same”. Truer words were never spoken. I choose strong. I hope this little blog will inspire the same in you.
